Scholarships
High School Senior Scholarship
The Sevierville Hospitality Association (SHA) awards multiple $1,200 scholarships each year to graduating seniors from any high school located within Sevier County, including Sevier County High School, Pigeon Forge High School, Gatlinburg-Pittman High School, Seymour High School, Northview Senior Academy, and eligible home-schooled students.
Scholarships are awarded annually, with the number of awards varying based on available funding. Funds are paid directly to the student and may be used for a wide range of education-related expenses, including tuition, books, housing, food, transportation, and other necessary costs.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be a graduating senior from a high school located with Sevier County
Plan to attend a college, university, trade school, or accredited workforce program this Fall
Complete and submit the full scholarship application by the deadline
Submission Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials as part of the scholarship application:
Résumé outlining work experience, activities, service, or leadership
High school transcript (official or counselor-verified)
Two (2) letters of recommendation
One school-based recommendation from a teacher, school coach, guidance counselor, or school principal who can speak to your academic effort, character, or leadership.
One non-school-based recommendation from an employer, manager, volunteer coordinator, nonprofit leader, or community mentor who can speak to your work ethic, responsibility, or service.
- If a recommender prefers to submit their letter directly rather than through the student, recommendation letters may be emailed directly to the Education Committee Chair, Josh Norris, at JoshNorrisTN@gmail.com.

Application Process
All applications are reviewed by a Sevierville Hospitality Association scholarship committee. Applications are evaluated holistically, with consideration given to academic effort, service and work ethic, essay responses, career goals, and recommendations.

Employee Continuing Education Scholarship
The Employee Continuing Education Scholarship is a $1,500 scholarship.
Here are the eligibility requirements:
- Must be an employee working in hospitality in Sevier County.
- Must be attending or planning to attend next semester at either Walters State Community College (WSCC) or East Tennessee State University (ETSU)
